Jiah Khan has rubbished a recent Mumbai tabloid report that she has married a a non-Indian in the UK.
"It came as a bolt from the blue. I am too young to get married and too old to say that I don't believe in it. Yes, marriage will happen at the appropriate time but definitely not now. It is at least five to six years away," the 23-year-old Nishabd star told DNA.
Last month, the Mumbai Mirror had reported the marriage, based on information fed to them by a so called close friend of Jiah.
"Jiah has married. We don't know the guy's identity, but he is a foreigner for sure," the friend purportedly told the Mumbai Mirror.
Quized about her relationship status, Jiah hinted that she is dating, but is still single.
"I can only say that I am single. And no, I'm not engaged to anybody either. Once I am sure about my boyfriend, I will be the first one to come out and say it loud. Till then, I'd prefer not to talk about my personal life," she said.
Jiah, who is back in Mumbai after a protracted stint abroad, is actively scouting for roles.
"I am back in Mumbai and I'm reading a lot of scripts. You can expect a few announcements soon," she says.
