Megumi Fukushita made her debut in 2001 modeling for the women's fashion magazine Ray. She continued to model during her short stint as a gravure idol, but decided she liked modeling clothing more than bikinis and since became a model full time.
In 2001, Megumi Fukushita began acting, her first part being in the drama Kabachitare!. The following year, she began doing commercials. Karina was also chosen in 2002 as one of Fuji TV's Visual Queens of the year, along with Ichikawa Yui, Sawajiri Erika, and Yarita Ayano.
Megumi Fukushita has since continued to act in various dramas and films, but models only for Ray.
