Jennifer Aniston Directorial Debut In Breast Cancer Short Film

Jennifer Aniston will make her directorial debut when she steps behind the camera to helm a short film about breast cancer as part of the Lifetime Project Five Anthology Series.

The high-profile project will be an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The announcement was made Tuesday by Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks. The former Friends star, 42, will join Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, and Monster and Entourage director Patty Jenkins. Aniston will also be reuniting with Friends creator Marta Kauffman, who will be co-executive producing the project Jen.

“Our hope with ‘Project Five’ is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small,” Aniston said in a statement. “We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts all of our lives, no matter who we are.”

“I’m a big fan of this amazing group of powerful and creative women, and we are thrilled to be working with them on ‘Project Five,’” Dubuc chimes in. “It’s an awesome feeling to be able to give them such a strong platform to do what they do best — entertain and tell great stories — so that we all educate viewers about breast cancer through these five films of courage, love and hope.”

A fifth director will join the team for the five-part series, but that name has not yet been announced.

Angelina Jolie’s life is getting the comic book treatment.

The 35-year-old actress is the latest celebrity to be turned into a sketched character for Bluewater Productions’ wildly-popular Female Force series. The mother of six has been immortalized between the covers of a 32-page comic book that chats about her rise to fame and life with actor and partner Brad Pitt and their kids; Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 4, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The graphic tale — hitting comic book shelves for $3.99 on Wednesday — will also talk about Jolie’s diverse range of movie roles, including her roles in Gia and Girl, Interrupted, as well as her tireless work for charity.

“I learned a great deal about her struggles and triumphs as an actress, mother and humanitarian. Salman Khan hosted a World Cup Cricket Semi Final bash at a Bandra pub just a few meters away from his house on Wednesday, March 30.

The 45-year-old Dabangg star was dressed in blue in support of the Indian cricket team color. He wore an inspirational tee, similar to the one that he wore to Nikhil Dwivedi's wedding reception except for the color.

His guest list that included dad Salim Khan, brother Suhail Khan, sis-in-law Malaika Arora Khan, Chunky Pandey and Krishan Kumar, all of them wore Indian flag Being Human Tees in blue.

While the match ended at 11pm Salman and his gang continued partying well past 3 am when the cops came and forced them to wrap.

"Salman and his friends were in high spirits, dancing away in the night to loud music. However, the Bandra residents weren't very happy about the noise. One of the residents filed a complaint and cops came by to stop the party in the wee hours of morning," a source from the party told TOI.

Salman exited from the back gate and hired a taxi, instead of riding his car to avoid media attention.

Darren Aronofsky is the latest to defend Natalie Portman amid allegations that a dance double performed most of the complicated ballet moves in ‘Black Swan’, which earned the actress an Oscar.Portman won the Best actress Academy award for her role as a troubled dancer but the latest controversy has cast a shadow on her performance.American Ballet Theatre star Sarah Lane has claimed that only “five per cent” of the ballet scenes were done by Portman, but Aronofsky has rubbished her claims, reported Daily Express online.Earlier, Portman’s fiance and the film’s choreographer Benjamin Millepied and studio bosses at Fox Searchlight had come to her defence.Aronofsky, who directed the Actress in the movie, has spoken out to silence Portman’s critics, saying, “Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that’s 80 per cent Natalie Portman.”He, however, admits that digital techniques were used twice during editing, to superimpose Portman’s face over Lane’s.”There are two complicated longer dance sequences that we used face replacement,” he added.Portman, who is expecting her first child with Millepied, has kept mum on the controversy, which is getting bigger by the day.But Aronofsky is adamant that the credit should not be taken away from her. “Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance. Oprah Winfrey Tweets Up A Storm

TV mogul Oprah Winfrey gave her fans a rare look into her daily life during her first live tweet event, which saw her cooking up a meal, exercising and lounging with partner Stedman Graham.

The 57-year-old is leaving no stone unturned to promote her soon-to-be launched network OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) and the talk show titan took to Twittersphere to promote the Sunday’s new lineup on her network.

During her tweet session, Winfrey watched an episode of Behind The Scenes, which is her own reality show following everything that goes on to bring one of her shows on air.

However, most of her 5.5 million followers were not convinced it was actually the Big O herself tweeting them from her account.

The billionaire then decided to post a video of herself at her Montecito estate in California.

“Hey guys, thanks for helping us be the number one trending topic on Twitter and for being a part of our Tweetathon, I am in Cali with Stedman,” she said in the video.

Winfrey also posted a video of her cooking and gave the viewers her recipe for risotto with crab meat dish.

She also posted candid videos of herself, including her working out in her home gym and her with Stedman sitting out on the patio of her home surrounded by her dogs.

Actor Ryan Philippe is on daddy duty, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon jetting off for a honeymoon after her weekend wedding to agent Jim Toth.

Phillipe and Seyfried, 26, have experienced their own share of ups and downs during the six-month-long relationship.

The Cruel Intentions actor was recently at the centre of a paternity scandal and is reportedly the father of model-actress Alexis Knapp’s unborn child. He has offered to take a paternity test once the baby is born later this year.

Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris

It's a romantic comedy about a family traveling to the French capital for business. The party includes a young engaged couple forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.

Carla Bruni plays the role of a museum director in the film, co-produced by Allen's Gravier Productions and the Spanish-based Mediapro.

Midnight in Paris will premiere at the 64th Cannes Film Festival that starts on May 11. It will release in theaters on May 20, 2011.

Enrique Iglesias Not an Opening Act for Britney Spears

The latest piece of musical news flashes that Enrique Iglesias scratched off his name for the scheduled joint tour with Britney Spears.

RadarOnline warns that those who looked forward to the Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias tour will be disappointed, for the Spanish star cancelled his participation several hours after it had been announced.

The first public notification of the joint tour was made on Tuesday just before Spears’ much-expected appearance on Good Morning America, but the Spanish pop singer had second thoughts about it soon afterwards. His rep released an official statement to the effect that though preliminary discussions of the run had allowed for the joint tour announcement, Enrique Iglesias was sorry to say that the tour is not to be in spite of the highest regard in which Iglesias holds Spears’ work.

No reasons for the decision were cited, apart from the information that Iglesias’ solo tour in support of his 2010 bilingual album Euphoria will be proceeding as scheduled.

Live Nation that is promoting the tour had to react with an official media statement denying Iglesias’ participation.

Billboard has some more light to shed on the incident. The tour featuring two world-famous artists was supposed to draw a lot of attention, and there were plans for Iglesias (who is touring Europe now) to take full production of his part of the performance in order to be more than just an opening act – which is rather a cumbersome and expensive endeavor.

Iglesias, according to Billboard, backed out because he didn’t like the idea to be any kind of an opening act.

No baby plans for Vanessa Minnillo yet

Vanessa Minnillo has insisted she and fiancé Nick Lachey are not planning on starting a family any time soon. The singer said she is not ready for the commitment involved with having children and just wants to enjoy life as a married woman. Appearing on The Rachael Ray Show, Minnillo said: “Let’s do it one chapter at a time, why rush? We have the rest of our lives. If you have children, once they’re there, they’re there. You can’t say, ‘I don’t think I want to deal with you today.’ No, they’re there!”

Swift, who is currently in London on the European leg of her Speak Now World Tour 2011, is performing at the O2 Arena in the city tonight.

On March 24, Swift announced an extension to the North American leg of her tour with 16 more dates. She now has 78 shows in stadiums and arenas in 63 cities in 42 states and provinces in the US and Canada this year.

The North American tour starts May 27 in Omaha right after her final European performance at the O2.

Bethany Hamilton attended the premiere. Others attending the premiere included Hilary Duff and Joe Jonas.

The film hits theaters on April 8.
