She is one of Hollywood’s most famous vegetarians and actress Natalie Portman’s engagement ring is as environment-friendly as she is.
The 29-year-old actress, who is engaged to ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied, has an eco-friendly sparkler with an estimated value of USD 35,000.
Portman’s ring was carefully designed by Millepied to include recycled platinum, an antique center stone and accenting diamonds taken from a conflict-free mine, reported Life and Style magazine online.
The actress, who is expecting her first child with Millipied, recently got an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress Category for her role in ‘Black Swan’.
The Israel-born actress credits director Darren Aronofsky for the success of the movie.
“I am so honoured and grateful to the Academy for this recognition. It is a wonderful culmination of the 10-year journey with Darren to make this film,” said Portman.
