Kate Middleton Graces The Town of Anglesey

With the April 29 wedding date getting close, Prince William is wasting no time in introducing Kate Middleton, the future Princess, to the people of the UK and the world at large.

On February 24, Kate graced the town of Anglesey with William in tow to greet the throngs of admirers and name one of the station's watercraft, and the choice of location was no coincidence.

It is in this picturesque island just off the Welsh coast where they have lived since last year, enjoying the scenery of the place as well as its privacy. Feeling very much at home here, the pair made their debut in an official capacity.

A spokesman for the palace confirmed that this marks the first time that Kate has received an invitation as an honored guest in her own name.

In fact, the presence of the royal pair in the coastal village drew a lot of attention; people came in the hundreds to show their support, some of them showing up at dawn just to get a glimpse of the future king and his bride.

Walking through the cordoned-off area to mix with the crowds, Middleton looked very confident, with fiance William putting a reassuring arm around her from time to time.

Bystander Clare James came with her three children to see the royal couple. She gushed, "I am very excited. My daughter wants to ask if they want a spare bridesmaid she will step in."

The naming ceremony for the lifeboat occurred near RAF Valley, where William is currently employed as a search and rescue pilot until 2013.

Kate, 29, a former party planner has started studying the Welsh language since shifting to the country to be with fiance William.

Both of them sang the national anthems of Britain and Wales during the ceremony.

As she christened the lifecraft, Kate poured a bottle of bubbly on it, since the boat was inflatable. Royal beau William applauded.

Their home in Angelsey is an isolated rental cottage. In spite of having a 24-hour security detail, William and Kate do not have any other household staff. They plan to keep doing their own chores post-marriage.

A spokesman for Prince William informed, "(William) very much enjoys his time in Wales. His job is fulfilling and he really values the welcome that the people of Anglesey have given him and Catherine. They have given him privacy and really taken him into their bosom."

And while Kate christened a new lifeboat Thursday afternoon, the fashion world has christened its latest star in the tall brunette.
