Maricopa Neighborhood Seething Over Arrival Of Bristol Palin

Comedian Tracy Morgan may count The Palin Women among the best “masturbation material” available on the Web, but one neighborhood in Maricopa, Arizona is anything but ecstatic about the pending arrival of one of America’s most controversial political families.

Palin’s oldest daughter — 20-year-old Bristol Palin — is hightailing it out of the clan’s homebase in Wasilla, Alaska for a new life in the desert, just 35 miles south of Phoenix. She’s even considering a morning jock job offer from a local radio station. Bristol purchased the foreclosed property for $172,000 — cash — from a North Dakota couple last month. A five bedroom, two-level, 3,900-square-foot brown stucco rambler, the place has plenty of room for the young mother and her two-year-old son, Tripp. But not everyone in the Cobblestone Farms Development are welcoming the new neighbors with open arms.

Bristol’s presence has quickly become an irritant to neighbors who don’t want The Palins causing a commotion in their quiet suburb, The National Enquirer reports in its Feb. 7 edition. Bristol’s home has already attracted a bevy of celeb gawkers, who slowly circle the block at all hours of the day hoping for a glimpse of the aspiring journalist. Enough is enough, says one disgruntled Cobblestone Farms dwellers, who asked not to be identified:

“The community doesn’t hold anything personal against Bristol, but her presence definitely introduced an element of fear and uneasiness that didn’t exist before.”

Others in the community believe the former Almost-First Daughter could use a refresher course in good manners.

“My family brought her a basket filled with baked goods, flowers, and a welcome card,” another neighbor told The Enquirer. “Bristol didn’t answer the door when we tried to deliver the basket — even though she was home at the time — so we left it at her front door. Since then, we haven’t received so much as a phonecall or visit to thank us.”
