Selena's staff tricked the 18-year-old into meeting the Transformers star, telling her she needed to meet some fans.
Selena, who in the past has unabashedly admitted to a crush on LaBeouf, recently told Billboard that she wants to follow in his footsteps, as he too started out with Disney channel and then successfully transitioned to films as an adult star.
"He did it really well," Gomez said. "He's talented and doing wonderful things."
